Bishop Dr. Mark Kariuki

Bishop Dr. Mark Kariuki is a renowned figure in the spiritual landscape of Kenya, notable for his unwavering dedication to church leadership and illustrious teaching and preaching of God’s word. He has an exceptional apostolic calling and grace for church growth and establishment. Born into a humble family, he embarked on his journey of faith at a very early stage. It was in 1973 while a student at the Asumbi Teachers Training College that he gave his life to the Lord Jesus Christ and has since then, never wavered or looked back.
In 1983, Bishop Kariuki made a groundbreaking leap of faith by quitting his school teaching professional career and committed himself entirely to preaching the Gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ as a full time minister. Since then, he has been a steadfast voice in spreading the message of salvation and hope, touching countless lives in Kenya and across the nations of the world.
Bishop Kariuki serves as the Presiding General Overseer of the Deliverance Church International. He has been instrumental in the growth and establishment of the Deliverance Church, both locally and internationally. His visionary leadership has led to the beginning of numerous organizations and churches, each dedicated to empowering individuals and communities both spiritually and socially.
Among his notable pioneer works are The Deliverance Church Nakuru, The House of Bread, The Majestic City Church, Ukombozi Sacco, One Accord TV, and the Mark Kariuki Foundation. Through these platforms, Bishop Kariuki continues to channel his passion for uplifting lives and fostering positive change.
Beyond professional and ministerial endeavors, Bishop Kariuki finds more fulfillment in commitment towards his immediate family. He shares a joyous union with his beloved wife, Joyce Kariuki, and is a proud father to three adult biological children. Embracing the role of grandfather, he derives much joy and fulfillment in nurturing the next generation and instilling values of faith and integrity.
